Sample tour only (subject to change)

 

 

Day 1          Depart Brisbane  to London, transfer to St George’s Park

Day 2         Training session with the English FA on site at St George’s Park. Hydrotherapy session with PERFORM (the Sport Science arm of the English FA) In addition, there may be an opportunity to watch an EPL game this evening dependent on the draw.

 

Day 3         Transfer to the North West of England, possibly Chester. In the afternoon watch a live Premier League game. (fixtures to be confirmed).

 

Day 4        Optional sightseeing or watch EPL youth games. In the afternoon, depending on the draw, watch another EPL game

 

Day 5         Training: Today the players will have their second training session with Bolton Wanderers. In the afternoon, enjoy a visit to the Etihad Stadium or Old Trafford and take part in a stadium tour and museum visit.

 

Day 6         Training: in the morning you may enjoy another training session, (session number three) with either the GK Academy coaches from Blackburn/Wigan/Sheffield United or similar. The afternoon will be at leisure in Chester. (There may be an opportunity to watch a Cup game this evening either Capital One or Champions League)

 

Day 7         Training and Ray Hall presentation: In the morning enjoy your fourth training session with the GK coaches of Everton FC, at Finch Farm (Everton’s Academy) In the afternoon, listen to an excellent presentation given by Ray Hall, former Academy manager at Everton FC. He will provide a clear insight in how the Academy is run and the philosophy of the club. In addition, he will relay his role in the finding of Wayne Rooney! In the evening (depending on the draw) there may be an opportunity to watch a Capital One Cup Champions League game)

 

Day 8        Transfer to London and Training: Today you will transfer to London, on the way we will take in a training session at either Stoke City or Derby County at their respective Academy centres.

Day 9         Training and Premier League: In the morning the group will visit the Reading Academy and take part in their sixth training session. The afternoon may be spent sightseeing in Windsor, with a visit to the Castle an absolute must!

                        In the evening you will return to your hotel for dinner and have the remainder of the evening free to relax.

 

Day 10         Sightseeing, Leisure Time and EPL game:  This morning following a hectic start to the tour you will have a morning to recharge your batteries. The executive coach will be at your disposal to take you to central London. You may wish to do some sightseeing or shopping in Lillywhites Dept Store (one of the biggest sports stores in the UK). In the afternoon there may be an opportunity to watch another EPL/Championship game in the Capital.

 

Day 11             Training: In the morning visit the training grounds and take part in your seventh training session with Charlton Athletic FC. The session will be led by the Academy Goalkeeping coach for the club. In the afternoon visit the Emirates Stadium/or Stamford Bridge/or Wembley for a behind the scenes tour and museum visit. Alternatively we may watch another game in the Cpaital (draw dependent)

 

Day 12           Training: Following breakfast the group will travel to Fulham. Here the group will undertake their third training sessions with the GK coaches of Fulham. Following the mornings activities the group will travel to London central for sightseeing, visiting such places as Buckingham Palace, Tower Bridge and of course Lillywhites Department Store.

Day 13     Your last day in the UK will be spent at leisure before departing for your flight home in the evening. In flight and return 9th October
