FIFA Womens World Cup
The Matildas have again created history. Australia (Men or Women) have never kept a clean sheet at a World Cup Finals. This all changed with the 2-0 win over Nigeria. The feat was acheived again a week later when the Matildas created their second piece of history by beating Brazil 1-0 in the round of 16 knock out game.
Once again an Australian team (Men or Women) had never won a knock game at a FIFA World Cup.
Paul Jones Goalkeeping Academy member Lydia Williams was sensational in this tournment confirming her position as one of the best feamle goalkeepers in the world.
The Matildas next big event is the Rio Olympic Games in August 2016
